Four Generations of Building Knowledge
My connection with the building and preservation industry goes back long before Harding Homes was established. It started with my great-grandfather, Glyn Evans, who was the first generation of our family to establish a building business. In the 1970s, Glyn opened Evans Building Services, beginning what would become a family tradition of working in construction, plastering and property preservation.

Founded Harding Homes Building & Preservation Ltd
That was followed by my great-uncle, Paul Evans, who established Evans Plastering & Preservation, developing the family's knowledge and experience further into specialist plastering and property preservation work. My father, Ian Harding, then continued that family journey. He took on Evans Building Services and went on to establish the foundations for what I have today, combining the family's traditional building knowledge with plastering and preservation through Harding & Evans Plastering & Preservation Services.
Growing up around that knowledge and seeing the industry first-hand gave me a genuine interest in how buildings work, how they deteriorate and, most importantly, how they can be properly preserved. That passion eventually led me to establish Harding Homes Building & Preservation Ltd in 2024. Although Harding Homes is a new company, the knowledge behind it isn't. It represents four generations of family experience passed down through Glyn, Paul, Ian and now myself.

Meet Dre
I'm Dre, the founder of Harding Homes Building & Preservation. I'm a proud family man, husband and dad, and outside of work my family means everything to me. I love travelling and making memories with my wife and daughter, and I'm also a proud Tottenham Hotspur supporter. Growing up around four generations of family experience in construction and property preservation gave me a genuine passion for understanding buildings, the problems they develop and how they can be properly preserved.
Today, my focus is on taking that family knowledge and combining it with modern specialist techniques, training and products to help homeowners properly understand and resolve problems with their properties. I'm particularly passionate about the investigative side of preservation — understanding why a building is suffering from damp, water ingress or timber decay rather than simply treating what is visible. I believe customers deserve to know exactly what is happening to their property, what their options are and why a particular solution has been recommended.
